Still weaving away and anxious to post some photos soon. I have discovered my utter fascination with fine knitting and weaving. The delicate yarns and fine weaves and knits produced are a joy to the touch. Challenging though they may be, it is still fun to watch these small light weight fabrics emerge from the intertwining of layers of threads.
On the needles at the moment are some socks in Mets colors from Artyarns Ultramerino 8, a divine fiber and a great weight for socks, another hat in blues, greens and purples also in Artyarns Ultramerino 6 on a size 2 circular needle- just yummy and so fine a knit, and, soon to be on the loom, another shawl in Habu's ultrafine wool yarn woven on a warp of Jaggerspun Zephyr - autumn colors the inspiration of a hike at Teatown Lake yesterday amidst the incredible array of spectacular fallen leaves.
