Completed...at last!

Completed at last, the Artyarns merino sweater, started by a teenager, completed by his mother for this handsome young man. Already worn to school, in spite of Indian summer temps and thankfully the recipient of many compliments from his peers. Hooray, it's done!

2KN to the Ethelridge Road Knitting Salon

2KN, the Israeli Knitting Studio, brainchild of the sisters of Israeli knitting, Billy Kimor and Miri Namer, will once again grace our shores, when Billy arrives in New York next week for a series of workshops in New York City and at the Ethelridge Road Knitting Salon. This season, Billy will be bringing along some new designs and will offer two workshops. She will be joining us on Thursday evening, October 25 to teach us how to knit the Josephine, (see photo in their Collection, 13th box from top in the right column) 2KN's beautiful ribbed ribbon medallion stole with a distinctly Israeli sense of style. Her second workshop, Friday, October 26 introduces the Seashell Lace Neck and Ear Warmer, (see photo in their Collection, 21st row, middle and right columns) the unique multi-purpose lace accessory, knit in the round. The Josephine workshop will be repeated again on Monday morning, October 29.

Billy will present a discussion of the knitting experience in Israel and how knitters in Israel take advantage of their warm weather climate with beautiful fashions and hand-knitted designs. We had so much fun at our lace shrug workshop in June, that Billy has rushed back to the US to share more of 2KN's unusual designs. Can't wait for her to arrive!
