So Many Knits

I did a review of finished projects the other night and despite my frustration with the wealth of projects on my needles, I was visibly astounded (I was packing away many of my handknits) by the sheer number of completed garments I have actually knitted in the past few months. On the other hand, I feel more motivated to complete some of the current OTNs before I commit myself to yet another new project. The salon is going well and my Crocheted Jewelry workshop for the Knitting Guild was a great success. Coming soon, three workshops featuring 2KN, the Israeli knitting studio.

Baby Hats in the Car

I really like to make hats, always have and now I have discovered that baby sized hats are the perfect travel project. I can complete one hat over a round trip ride to the upstate house ( as long as I am not driving, of course) I have experimented with cottons ( Rowan and others) and the range of Artyarns wools from Ultramerino 4 to Supermerino. And the results, well, check them out here.

My Ribbed Cotton Capelet

I have learned through my wonderful sources in the Israel, the 2KN girls, of a most outstanding Egyptian cotton yarn. This yarn has an outstanding sheen, plenty of give and so many great colors. The ribbed cotton capelet design, as seen here has been a hit and everyone loves making it. I wear mine constantly and the design seems to be flattering on absolutely everyone. They are relatively quick to knit and a joy to wear.
